Deanna Anderson M.Ed. CCC-SLP, received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders in 1997 and graduated with a Master of Education within Speech Pathology from the University of Toledo in 1999. She has held a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2000, and is licensed by the state of Georgia.
Deanna is passionate about serving children and adults who exhibit a variety of communication difficulties including speech sound disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, aphasia and feeding/swallowing disorders. Deanna had the opportunity to serve on an interdisciplinary feeding disorders team at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation. She is trained in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol and Debra Beckman’s Oro-facial Deep Tissue Release.
Deanna’s interests also include reading and she completed training in the Orton Gillingham Approach in 2017. She has experience as a Clinical Supervisor/Instructor and mentored students at the undergraduate and graduate levels within communication disorders at the University of Montevallo. Deanna also served as the co-chair for Montevallo’s National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Deanna lives in Cumming and is a devoted wife and mother of 2 children.
